The way I think has definitely changed since I have entered the military. I notice myself thinking about things that I previously wouldn't have given a second thought about. Along with the ability to do what needs to be done. Laziness or as I like to call it "The Conservation of Energy" is definitely still part of my character however when I enter the military it is forced to be suppressed and lies dormant somewhere in my being. That probably explains why I don't feel like doing anything on the weekends.
Motivation is very important, finding it is even more important! WHICH IS WHY!!!! I find looking forward to meal times an effective way to pass time for the first 5-6 weeks or so during the PTP phase. When the training regime starts to pick up however and after every meal follows with more PT thats when the days start to stretch out again. Eventually we all reach a peak point of your fitness level and the commanders are pushing you beyond your limit. covered in sweat and grass the next best thing I found was showering.
Oh the cool showers after training is AWESOME!!! Even running up the 4 flights of stairs to my bunk is worth it in the end. Give me 15 mins and I'll be happy. 5 mins spent in the shower, 5 mins spent changing and the other 5 spent falling in. anymore than 15mins then its extra time spent in the shower or on my bed.
